CRASH!

A flowerpot fell in Veda’s school garden.

“Oh no!” cried her friend Meera. The pot had broken, and a tiny plant lay on the ground.

Meera looked upset. “Our plant will die!”

Veda wanted to help, but she did not know what to do.

Veda looks surprised while Meera sits sadly beside a broken flowerpot, with soil and a small flowering plant scattered on the ground in their school garden.

The Power of Maa Kushmanda

That morning, Veda had learned about Maa Kushmanda, who is worshipped on the fourth day of Navratri.

According to Hindu tradition, the universe was once filled with darkness. Maa Kushmanda brought light and energy into it with her divine smile.

Veda remembered her teacher’s words, “Maa Kushmanda reminds us that even a small smile can bring hope and happiness.”

Suddenly, Veda had an idea!

Veda listens happily as her teacher points to a picture of Maa Kushmanda riding a lion, explaining the goddess's divine smile and its power to bring light and hope.

A Little Beginning Full of Hope

“Don't worry, Meera! We can save it!” Veda said with a smile.

She found another pot, filled it with soil, and carefully planted the tiny plant again.

Meera smiled too.

Veda carefully replants a tiny flowering plant in a new flowerpot while Meera smiles beside her in their school garden, with the broken pot, gardening tools, and colorful flowers nearby.

Veda was wearing royal blue, the color of Navratri Day 4.

Royal blue represents strength, peace, and confidence.

“Just like Maa Kushmanda gives us strength and hope!” Veda said happily.

Together, the girls watered the plant.

Veda and Meera happily water a newly planted flowering plant using green and pink watering cans, spreading hope and kindness in their colorful school garden.

Veda understood that Maa Kushmanda teaches everyone to spread light, hope, and positive energy.

Moral: A little kindness and a happy smile can bring hope and new beginnings.
