“Oh no! Not again!” Veda cried.

She was trying to make a beautiful flower garland for Navratri, but the flowers kept falling off the thread.

“I can't do it!” she said sadly.

Her mother smiled. “Don't give up, Veda. Today is the perfect day to learn about patience.”

Veda sits on the floor making a flower garland while her mother gently comforts her, with an idol of Goddess Brahmacharini in the background.

“Why today?” Veda asked.

“Because today is the second day of Navratri, when we worship Goddess Brahmacharini.”

The Story of Goddess Brahmacharini

Veda sat beside her mother.

“Who is Goddess Brahmacharini?” she asked.

“Goddess Brahmacharini is the second form of Maa Durga,” her mother explained. “She prayed and worked hard for many years with great patience and devotion. Even when things were difficult, she never gave up.”

“What does she teach us?” Veda asked.

“She teaches us to be patient, stay focused, and keep trying to reach our goals.”

Veda sits happily beside her mother as she explains the story of Goddess Brahmacharini, pointing toward the Goddess's beautifully decorated picture during Navratri Day 2.

Veda looked at her unfinished garland.

“Just like I should keep trying with these flowers?”

“Exactly!” her mother replied.

Why Does Veda Wear White?

Veda was wearing a pretty white dress.

“Mother, why am I wearing white today?” she asked.

Veda happily shows her beautiful white dress to her mother, who explains how white represents peace, purity, and calmness on Navratri Day 2, with Goddess Brahmacharini's picture in the background.

“White is traditionally associated with the second day of Navratri. It represents peace, purity, and calmness. Goddess Brahmacharini teaches us to stay calm and patient, even when things are difficult.”

Veda smiled. “So, if I stay calm and keep trying, I can do better!”

She picked up the flowers and tried again.

This time, she slowly tied each flower to the thread.

Soon, her beautiful garland was ready!

Veda happily placed it near Goddess Brahmacharini's picture.

Veda happily offers a white flower garland to Goddess Brahmacharini's picture while her mother lovingly supports her during Navratri Day 2 celebrations.

“Thank you, Maa Brahmacharini, for teaching me not to give up!”

Her mother smiled proudly.

Moral: Be patient, stay calm, and never give up on your goals.
