In this story
Can a good person live among evil people? Can someone living in a good kingdom still make wrong choices?
The stories of Vibhishan and Kaikeyi teach us a very important lesson.
Vibhishan: A Good Man in an Evil Kingdom
Vibhishan lived in Lanka, the kingdom of his brother, Ravan.

Ravan was a powerful king who did many wrong things. Vibhishan lived among people who followed Ravan's ways.
But Vibhishan was different.
Even though he lived in Ravan's kingdom, he did not choose to become evil. He believed in truth and goodness.
He knew that something wrong was still wrong, even if the people around him were doing it.
Vibhishan showed that living among bad people does not mean we must become bad ourselves.
Kaikeyi: A Wrong Choice in a Good Kingdom
Now think about Queen Kaikeyi.
Kaikeyi lived in Ayodhya, the kingdom of Lord Ram's family. It was a place known for goodness and doing what was right.
But even while living in such a good place, Kaikeyi learned to use tricks and deception.
Kaikeyi was not evil from the beginning, but Manthara filled her mind with bad ideas and encouraged her to make wrong choices.

Kaikeyi accepted Manthara's evil ideas and acted on them, bringing sadness to Lord Ram and his family.
Her story teaches us that living among good people does not always make someone good.
