A Mysterious Disappearance

One morning in Vrindavan, Krishna went into the forest with His cowherd friends and their calves. After walking for some time, they stopped near the Yamuna to have their meal.
Little Krishna enjoys a peaceful picnic with his cowherd friends and calves beside the Yamuna River in the forest, sharing food together on a bright sunny day.

The boys sat together and began eating. While they were enjoying their meal, the calves wandered deeper into the forest.

When the boys noticed that the calves were missing, Krishna said, “Do not worry. I will bring them back.”

Krishna went into the forest to search for them.

Brahma’s Secret Test

But Brahma, the creator of the universe, had been watching Krishna. He already knew that Krishna was no ordinary boy, but he wanted to see His divine power for himself.

So Brahma secretly took away all the calves.

While Krishna was searching for them, Brahma also took away all the cowherd boys. He took them to a secluded place and kept them there with his mystic power.

Little Krishna and his cowherd friends watch as the calves wander deeper into the forest near the Yamuna River.

When Krishna returned, His friends and the calves were nowhere to be seen.

Krishna immediately understood what Brahma had done.

Little Krishna searches through the dense forest near the Yamuna River for the calves that have wandered away, looking carefully along the forest path.

Krishna’s Divine Answer

Using His divine magical power, Krishna made an exact copy of every missing boy and every missing calf.

The copies looked exactly like the originals. They had the same faces, clothes, voices, and habits.

Lord Brahma uses his divine mystic power to take Krishna’s cowherd friends and calves away from the forest near the Yamuna River.

Krishna then returned to Vrindavan with them.

Nobody noticed anything unusual.

The boys returned home as usual, and their families welcomed them. The calves returned to their mothers, and the next day, the boys went into the forest with Krishna again.

A Year in Vrindavan

This continued day after day until one full year had passed.

During that year, the mothers felt an unusually deep love for their sons, and the cows felt an even greater love for their calves. Nobody knew why.

Brahma Returns

Then Brahma returned.

For Brahma, only a short time had passed. He went to the place where he had kept the original boys and calves, and they were still there.

Then he looked toward Vrindavan.

He was shocked to see Krishna with all the boys and calves.

Little Krishna stands in a forest beside the Yamuna River, surrounded by cowherd boys and glowing calves in a miraculous divine scene.

“How can this be?” Brahma wondered.

The boys and calves he had taken away were still with him, yet the same boys and calves were also with Krishna.

The Mystery of the Missing Boys

Brahma looked carefully and finally understood. The boys and calves living with Krishna for the past year had been created by Krishna’s divine magical power.

Brahma was amazed.

He had come to test Krishna, but instead, he had witnessed something far beyond his understanding.

Brahma Discovers the Truth

Brahma bowed before Krishna and realized that Krishna was not an ordinary cowherd boy. He was the Supreme Lord.

Brahma returned the original boys and calves, and everything went back to normal.

Lord Brahma returned he secretly watches Little Krishna playing the flute with his cowherd friends and calves in the forest beside the Yamuna River.

The boys continued playing with Krishna beside the Yamuna, unaware of the mystery that had taken place.

Brahma left Vrindavan with a completely changed heart. He understood that Krishna’s greatness could never be measured by any test.

Moral of the Story:

True greatness does not need to prove itself. Even the wisest and most powerful may discover that there are things beyond their understanding.
